Virtual Summer Learning Opportunities

Webster Groves School District will once again offer virtual summer programming through Launch. Families will have a variety of enrichment and summer academies to choose from. There will be two sessions of summer programming: June 3-28 and July 8-August 2.
Elementary students can sign up for an Enrichment Class in June centered on the central theme of The Olympic Tour.Enrichment classes consist of:
- 6 hours daily teacher-supported programming
- One-on-one and small group support
- ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies standards
- Related arts and physical activity content
- Virtual field trips and digital badging
- Adaptive software access
Elementary students can also sign up for adaptive Summer Academies (3 hrs. a day) in June and/or July. Summer Academies are:
- Launch Into Reading
- Launch Into Math
- Launch Into Coding
All provide:

- Access to adaptive software
- One-on-one and small group support
Middle school students can sign up for Enrichment classes (3 hrs. a day) centered on a central idea in June and/or July:- Escape-students develop a digital breakout and escape room
- Outdoor U-students learn about ways to thrive and survive outside
- Tales from Mt. Olympus - fun activities centered around mythology
- Mystery at the Museum - activities centered around science
Enrichment classes consist of:
- Engaging topics designed to keep students learning all summer long
- ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies standards embedded
- Related arts and physical activity content
- Adaptive software access
Middle school students can also sign up for Summer Academies (3 hrs. A day) in June and/or July. Summer Academies consist of:
- Launch Into Reading
- Launch Into Math
- Launch Into Coding
All provide:

- One-on-one and small group support
Middle school students also have access to Remediation, Strategic, and Extended Learning classes.
- Remediation classes are focused on science and social studies and are designed to help students who need focused support in grade-level skills.
- Strategic Reading and Strategic Math classes are focused on providing extra support with grade level standards.
- Extended Learning Classes in Math and Reading are recommended for students identified as two or more grade levels behind, and provides one-on-one and small group support
