• Kindergarten students participate in classroom enrichment lessons taught by gifted specialists for the purpose of exposing all students to activities that promote creative, analytical, and critical thinking. These enrichment lessons take place in the regular classroom during students' regular kindergarten program. No formal gifted identification is done at this grade level.

    First grade students participate in classroom enrichment lessons taught by gifted specialists for the purpose of exposing all students to activities that promote creative, analytical, and critical thinking, as well as provide an opportunity for the gifted specialist and the students to get to know each other prior to their the screening they will take in the fall of second grade. No formal gifted identification is done at this grade level.
